The 2010 Mazda 3s traces its roots to the Mazda GLC, a rear-wheel drive hatchback introduced in the US in the year 1977. GLC stood for “Great Little Car” which well proved to be a relatively accurate prediction of its future. 2010 Mazda 3 i-Stop
The 2010 Mazda 3 is a Japan-manufactured compact car introduced in 2004. Mazda has unveiled its i-Stop version representing the eco-friendly option to the line up. Essentially an advanced fuel-saving start-stop system, the i-Stop switches off the engine completely while idling specifically when the driver encounters a red light. The engine is designed to start back within a few seconds through the remaining energy in the pistons with the help of the starter motor. Engine restarting happens through direct fuel injection which ignites the cylinders and forces the piston down.
