Porsche “Spectacular” Concept
Porsche proudly promises something that should be at least pretty good if it lives up to half its own hype. Porsche is coming to Detroit show after three years because the company left the Detroit show to concentrate on their work for the Los Angeles’s sizzling, shinier car expo. Stuttgart has not revealed what they are bringing to Detroit. He only said with distinctive German splendor that it will be ‘Spectacular’. We can only assume that the spectacular will be a production version 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid, or possibly an entry level, Volkswagen-derived, four cylinder sports car. Mercedes-Benz SLS E-Cell Prototype
A greener alternative to the luxury sports car. Mercedes-Benz revealed this E-Cell in the summer of 2010 but the aim behind bringing this new car to Detroit shows the company’s attitude towards electric speed. Literally, the E-Cell is a battery-powered version of the company’s SLS supercar which is powered by four electric motors to generate 526HP and a torque of 649 lb-ft. Reports reveals that E-Cell sprints from 0-60mph in just 4 seconds. It is a bit expensive car with an estimated price tag of $220,000 and will go on sale somewhere in 2013. Price: $220,000 (est.) Honda hints at what the new Civic will look like. Honda seems to be very cautious about its new vehicle which it is bringing to Detroit. We haven’t got many details about what Honda is bringing.
