Easiest Way to Upgrade Your Car

To most young men a standard car is like a girlfriend that doesn’t put out. It’s still nice to have one, but it gets really boring, really quickly. That is probably the main reason car tuning is a multi-billion dollar industry. It’s all hinges on young men wanting to customize and personalize their rides. And they do it with a passion. The mods on a young man’s car are usually worth than the car itself.
But you don’t necessarily have to spend big bucks to make your car look nice and cool. What you need to do is get the most out of your money, which means you need modifications that improve looks and driving at the same time. That would be a new set of wheels. Good rims are the best and easiest, not to mention the quickest, way to enhance the appearance of a car, they also have a positive effect on the handling of the vehicle. But it’s not always easy finding the right set for your car. That’s why we like wheels-online.ie. With the sophisticated search engine they offer finding the right rims for your car is as easy as a few clicks.
All you have to do is enter the make and model of your car and you are presented with a long list of suitable wheels. Then depending on your taste and budget you choose a set and order it online. And that’s it. Of course, if you like extreme mods, you can always pick manually what size wheels you like and what color. But as a general rule it is better to go with what the experts offer. It is alright to go one or two inches above the standard rim size recommended by the manufacturer. But if you are picking something bigger than that, you need to make sure you get other relevant upgrades in terms of suspension adjustment or power kits to compensate for the size and weight of the new rims.
Wheel upgrade is also one of the most satisfying modifications you can do to your car because the result is immediately apparent. If you go a body kit or a wrap you need to wait for days on end, go deep into your pocket, and have the car, in many cases, drilled and cut to make the treatment fit. And after all that you may not like the result. That is not the case with wheels. Be careful what you pick though, because you can overdo it and even something as easy and excellent as rim job (pun intended!) can go horribly wrong.
We have already covered the size and how much wiggle room you have to play there. But more important than that is the design and the color of the rims you choose. These days there are literally thousands of designs available, some of them fantastically cool, some kind of artsy and pretentious, and some just downright silly. That said, it really depends on the car. If you are preparing a show car for a tuning event, then by all means get a set of spinners painted in purple with gold center caps. But if you are upgrading a respectable street car, say a Civic Type R, flashy wheels could ruin the whole thing. Remember that discreetness is a lot cooler than showing off. Personally we like matter black wheels because they are good for every occasion and they go well with any car color you can think of.
Swapping your stock wheels for a set of nice aftermarket ones is a good place, probably the first step, to start your personalization project. The cool thing about them is that even if someday you wanted to sell the car you can take the wheels off it, put back the originals, and use the rims for your next car. This cannot be done with most other mods, certainly not body kits, exhausts and engine upgrades.
