With the Buick LaCrosse 2011 model, this is actually going to be based on the Epsilon II platform but this means that this time it is going to have a very new and remodeled design. With this newer model it is actually going to replace the body work that used to have on the older versions; the W body that was from the Impala Chevrolet is now going to be replaced of course.
The Buick LaCrosse is going to now be around one hundred and ninety seven inches in length but all of these are going to come with the front wheel drive or the front wheel drive. However this new Buick LaCrosse is soon going to be competing alongside the Ford Taurus and the Chrysler 300 also in the full size segment.
The vehicle is going to measure out with a width of around seventy three inches but the wheelbase comes in a size that measures around one hundred and eleven inches or just over that. With these sizes it could be almost mistaken for a smaller car but that doesn’t mean to say that this car is not going to be a good car nonetheless.
With the new Buick however these cars are going to some of the best and very appealing cars on the market today. This is the second gen Buick which actually tries to almost shed the former image of the Buick and will make sure that this will now look to be a little more appealing to some of the younger customers out there.
This is because the Enclave is very appealing to those younger customers so this has to keep up with that stance also. The LaCrosse is actually very classy in deed and elegant of course; this will also be soon followed by the EX 350 also.
However with the handling of this car then it can be very good indeed, it is almost perfect, the brakes and journey of this car are also very smooth. With the 2011 model this is going to start replacing a lot of the models out there, a lot of these models are going to be very popular in the near future.
This looks very similar to a sedan and has a few models and variants such as the CXS, the FWD, the CXL AWD, CX, and CXL. All of which will be available with the 3.6 liter V-6 engine or the 2.4 liter I-4 engine that will only be available with the six speed automatic transmission.
This model is only going to have a few different changes to this however but it will come with the front wheel drive on the CX and CXL models and comes with the four cylinder 2.4 liter Ecotec engine.
This will also come with the electric power steering with a tire repair kit, the Buick will also have its old saver spare and jack and the trim levels are cut down from.
This has actually got the old designs of the 50’s Buicks back here but it will have a little upgraded waterfall vertical bar grille. With the four ventiports these will be indicating that this is the four cylinder model and with the six they are going to indicate that the car has the V-6 engine.
The interior is good however, it has great and ambient lighting though it doesn’t stand out and it’s not over the top. There will be cloth seats with the CX model with an XM radio but the CXL will have leather heated seats which come with a dual zone climate control system.
The CXS model is going to come with the ventilated and heated leather seats. This model will also have the HiPer Strut front suspension which brings down the torque but helps with any problems with the tires.
Most of the Buick LaCrosse models are going to come with a direct injection 2.4 liter engine but that is going to replace the two V-6 3.6 liter and 30 liter engines. With the 3.6 liter this is going to be coming with the CXS and the CXL AWD models.
For the safety measures it will come with the StabiliTrak system that comes with the electronic brake force distribution with a brake assist. These are little more standard features with this car but there will be the rood mounted head curtain, side and front airbags.
The car will also come with the four wheel anti lock disc brakes but the car can come with the adaptive lighting, a heads up display; it might also be that the rear view camera and the side blind zone alert features are also available.
The EPA fuel economy for this Buick LaCrosse is good for the CX and CXL I-4 models; it will handle 30 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg on city roads. With the CXS 3.6 liter model then this can reach 27 mpg on the highway and only 17 mpg in the city; that is the same numbers with the 3.6 liter CXL model.
