Goodbye, XLR & STS
Cadillac’s production force 10 years ago cost GM reasonably high and earned a lot of attention from the press. But this entire process and the fixed resources that Gm had all of them together have made Cadillac smarter not just harder.
Hello, CTS Coupe
It’s a great experience getting to know the CTS coupe which is one of the most promising vehicle’s from Cadillac. The beginning rates of CTS coupe are $40,000 that is almost half of the cost price of an XLR; the best part is it offers two additional seats as well. Unlike the previous attempts from GM, the Cadillac is one car that seems to be well furnished and looks as if it’s been to a finishing university.
The best-looking member of the family
Undoubtedly one can say that the coupe is the most beautiful and amazing member of the GM family. The CTS coupe must head to the luxury pack as undoubtedly it gets rave reviews especially when the test drive was carried on. The onlookers just couldn’t stop from coming over to ask when they will be able to get one of their own.
Carryover interior is a letdown
Unlike the car’s exterior’s that have earned so many praises from one and all the interior’s of the have not changed much. Its interior’s are no different from those of the previous models. Infact, this was a perfect time and GM could’ve introduced some changes to the interior as well. But, the only visible change in the interior’s is the availability of recaro seats.
Bigger rear tires & anti-roll bar; higher final-drive
Sedan’s mechanisms have been taken forward by the coupe. It has wider back tires as the coupe’s body is wider by two inches from the sedan’s. when the coupe is fitted with stick shift transmission it can achieve 0 to 60 mph dash in just about 6 seconds which is impressive.
Leaving the Camaro V-6 in the dust
The coupe’s cabin is much shinier and windier than the G37 and 3-series coupe’s. It is very jazzy is promised by its fighter jet like looks. It’s unchanged rack same as that of a sedan is very exact and communicatory like that of any good German car.
A brilliant six-speed automatic
The most surprising element was its transmission that is a six speed automatic transmission. Getting to know about it was very disappointing initially but by the end of the drive we were happy to have it as in the sports mode the transmission adjusts according to the speed, brake application and lateral G forces.
The weight of a division on its shoulders
Its high time the Cadillac gets the attention that is due to it and now it seems the entire weight of getting this attention is entirely on the coupe’s shoulder’s. The coupe finally gives CTS the aura to pull the attention that has been long due to it.
