From the moment that the Cadillac SRX was introduced to the market, it has been one of the best cars that have been trying to be very much in competition some of the most luxury crossovers. The SRX will now have a great now design brought to the car.
The SRX has got a good rear drive configuration, that was shortly changed to a front drive and compact crossover platform that comes with an all wheel drive. This is a little shorter however, it is around five inches short, just under five inches which means that the cabin is going to lose around eight or so feet of space.
There are no third row of seating options available and the leg room in this car is not as good as before, it is not as great so that is something to look out for. With this V-6 has been put in instead of the V-8 engine or there is still an option over getting a turbocharged engine that brings the performance to a higher standard.
With this new Cadillac it is going to be a little smaller than previous models which might be too many people’s tastes in fact. It will be a touch wider in size but not too much that it makes it in any way bulky at all.
It will have a tiny impact however over the handling of the car especially with the V-6 because this can really make the SRX go a little slower at times so this might not be as great with some of the competition out there. This is going to be a very expensive car and if there are any other options on this car then it will cost a lot more.
This comes with a hatchback crossover style that can support a good turbocharged V-6 2.8 liter engine or even a V-6 3.0 liter engine also. There is only the six speed automatic transmission available however but this can support the Cadillac SRX models with the versions of the Luxury, the Premium, the Base and Performance versions of this SRX.
The new 2011 model of the SRX has been expertly redesigned so that it looks perfect for the new hybrid crossover look. The front wheel drive is going to make sure the engine is a little smaller but that doesn’t mean to say that the engine under the hood is not good enough. The engine is very good in fact and is very efficient also.
There is an option over an all wheel drive but the style throughout the car is absolutely perfect; this really improves the look of the SRX and brings a fresh new appeal to this also. There will now be a very new rear vision camera but the new colors over the paint work will be limited to the 2011 model however.
The Cadillac has now got a nice and new design, there are no more first gen looks to this SRX. There is now a great new sweeping roof and the taillights are now sporty with a fin like appearance which really will compliment the car beautifully.
The CTS sedan interior is good and it is one thing but this SRX’s interior has got a little more in the package to consist with. There will be the great premium stereo as well as an automatic climate control system built into the car. There are also fantastic leather seats which usually come with most of the models of the Cadillac SRX. This newer Cadillac SRX will have a massive room of almost sixty one point one of cubic feet of space, which is good especially if a lot of space is needed for transporting.
There will be the V-6 3.0 liter available that makes a massive two hundred and sixty five horsepower engine but the with the premium 2.8 liter turbocharged V-6 engine with a massive three hundred horsepower.
However these are not as great as they do feel a lot more sluggish with the weight of the car but the handling of the car is still good. The car can be upgraded however if wished so with a great sports package which would take out the smoother journey and favor the handling a little more.
This is good to drive but the car is pretty weighty and it can be a little slower at times especially with the weight of this.
With the safety of this car, it is promised to have side and front airbags which are again standard but the passengers in the back will have side curtain bags and the passenger and driver in the front will also have these airbags available for them.
There will be the electronic traction control along with the stability control also; there will also be the anti roll sensors and the On Star automatic crash response system also available.
The EPA fuel economy rants at 22 and 23 mpg on the highway with the 2.8 liter and the 3.0 liter engine with the FWD coming in at 25 mpg. For the city roads they come in at 15 mpg, 17 mpg and 18 mpg.
These are good numbers and many are happy with these also so they are well worth the look.
