The new Kia Optima has actually been around since mid 2001 which is a big shock however that shows how far this model has really come. However with this Optima design, it is certainly something very similar to none other than the Toyota Camry the Honda Accord and the Ford Fusion – all of these are good cars however and it is now these car and more in which the Kia has to face its competition from.
This can hold up to five passengers and it a midsize sedan; however with this new Kia it is certainly going to have a lot of new parts to the car which means that this is going to get a lot more recognition from a lot of the Kia customers.
This is really going to be one car that is more than dependable and reliable however, this new Optima is going to come with three power train options which is always very good indeed though now this can be sold with a direct injection four cylinder 2.4 liter engine. If that was not up to the tastes of some then there are also the 2.0 liter turbocharged, four cylinder direct injection one hundred and seventy four horsepower engine.
In late 2011 it is said that there will be a hybrid based model which is going to have a great new 2.4 liter engine to work with the hybrid model. This is going to be one of the first on the American market today to actually offer a hybrid which is very great for the American automobile in fact so that is surely something to keep an eye out for.
This new Optima is going to be sold with many transmission types include the ever popular six speed manual and automatic transmissions with the standard engine types. With the hybrid, it is going to have the six speed automatic transmission which has of course been specially optimized for the hybrid.
This Kia Optima was actually recalled and redesigned for the new 2011 model, which means that this new car is going to be a lot longer in length as well as in width though it is lower than some of the previous models but still it is good. There will also be three different types of trims available such as the SX which is the sporty edition, the LX model with really is the base and of course the EX chic edition.
This body work will be the ever classic and popular sedan though the engines will come with only two options such as the I-4 2.4 liter engine or the I-4 2.0 liter engine. This also comes with both the six speed automatic transmission and the six speed manual transmission but there will be three different models available such as the EX, the LX and the SX.
The Optima has now got a great new style to the vehicle, this is now bigger than before for this 2011 model along with the much roomier interior. However this is really going to come well with the younger looking feel though the power will now be coming from three different sources; they will now come with the two four cylinders direct injection with the soon to come hybrid.
The new base engine should have around two hundred horsepower and this is really going to have a higher power than the ageing V-6 engine which only has the one hundred and ninety four of horsepower.
These Optima is going to have a great new exterior which will be almost three inches longer for the wheelbase and the design of this is going to be quite sporty as well as being classy. This really helps to make this new 2011 version stand out greatly which is good because the old model didn’t get that chance; this really comes with a new style that is surely going to get a lot of people talking.
There are of course a lot of great standard features with this car for the interior, this is going to come with the CD and AM/FM radio; there will be the fantastic tilt telescoping wheel with the six way adjusting seat for the driver.
There are now the leather seats available and the panoramic sunroof with the heated and cooled option seats.
This is really going to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest version of the SX model but it is the best out of them all. This will have a good two hundred and seventy four of horsepower with the 2.0 liter turbo four cylinder engines. This is not going to be the manual transmission however but it will have fantastic steering wheel mounted paddle shifts.
For the safety features, there will be the front six airbags which are of course standard but they also come with the full length side curtain airbags and the front and dual front seat mounted side airbags also.
There will be the great four wheel ABS with the brake assist system; this also comes with the good traction and stability control though there will be the tire pressure monitoring system and the hill assist control.
The EPA fuel economy numbers are not as yet well known which is not as great however but they should be released very soon hopefully so that will be well worth the wait so keep an eye on them.
