Some Well Renowned Classic Cars

Everyone loves to own a classic car because of their uniqueness. According to the American Classic Car Club, a car needs to be around 20 to 40 years old in order to fall in the category of classic cars. However, a car that is approximately 45 years old in order to be termed as an Antique car.

Some people are crazy about owning classic cars and keep them as treasures. They represent class and style which is the reason why everyone wishes to own them. It is also said that age does not really make a car termed as “classic, it requires popularity and high voting to be called as classic. Vintage cars are another term to define classic cars. Classic cars drivers need to be overly cautious in driving them as they are completely different from modern ones. Since classic cars are designed in a different way and World War II has brought so many changes in the styling of the car, therefore there is safety lacking when driving classic cars. Although classic cars have not been observed in so many accidents and injuries, yet it is said that seat belts, crumble zones or rollover protection are absent in a classic car.

Some of the classic cars are Rohr, reo, Jaguar, Itala, Jordan, Cunnighum, Delage, bugatti, Amilcar, FN, M.G., Lincoln, Franklin, Humber, Stutz, Nash, Invicta, Farman, isotta-Fraschinni, Cord, Chrysler, Dorris, Doble, Packard, Rolls-Royce, Voison, Tatra, Lanchester, Lancia, Ruxton, Lucomobile, Horch, Peerless, Julian, Kissel, Hudson, triumph, Squire, Dagmar, Jensen, Marmon, Minerva, Pierce-Arrow, Mervedes, Mercedes-Benz, Roamer, Elcar, Railton, Talbot etc.

The handling characteristics of vehicle especially steering and suspension, are two traits that are not really good in classic cars. When matched with current standards, the brake performance is pathetic and not very well as compared to the standard quality of modern vehicles. All these characteristics that are found in the classic cars are unavoidable and require great awareness while driving.

There are some parts in U.S. where driving of classic cars is not allowed and is prohibited. This is because they are not really safe and equipped with safety measures.

Some of the exotic classic cars famous al over the globe is as follows:

  • Alvis, which is a British manufactured car.
  • Cadillac and De Soto are both American manufactured cars that are very adventurous.
  • Jaguar is another classic car which has a very sleek body and runs at a high speed.
