For 2011, the Subaru Outback comes with handful of small changes. With a wagon like shell, bulging fenders and enough ground clearance it handles a variety climatic conditions and road surfaces.
The Subaru Outback 2011 is offered in 6 trim levels that include: 2.5i, 2.5 Premium, 2.5i Limited, 3.6R, 3.6 Premium and 3.6R Limited. The 3.6R and 2.5 models have similar standard features.
With a 170-horsepower 2.5 liter engine, the Outback has more than enough power for everyday driving. But for those who want more power they may opt for the 256 horsepower in the flat-6, 3.6-liter. For fuel efficiency, the 2.5 liter engine rates at 22 mile per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway when paired with an automatic transmission. For manual the transmission the fuel the fuel efficiency is rated at 19 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2011Outback comes with some few adjustments in its interior. Subaru now comes with a rear view camera and a rearview auto-dimming mirror with home-link garage door integration and compass. It has a five-seating arrangement. In comparison to other SUVs, it has enough legroom to accommodate adults. Standard features include power windows and door locks, auxiliary audio jack and cruise control. Leather upholstery, a power driver’s seat, heated seats, a power moon-roof and a dual zone climate control are available depending on the model you select.
The Subaru Outback 2011 has 34.3 cubic feet of cargo volume with all seats in use and 71.3 cubic feet of space with the backseats folded down.
Upgraded safety measures include the rear view camera for the Premium and Limited trims and a power moon-roof package. With the 3.3 inch display screen in the rearview mirror, the driver won’t have to struggle to look back and forth between the mirror and a display screen in the dashboard especially when parking and reversing. Standard safety features on the Subaru Outback 2011 include six air bags, vehicle dynamics control and traction control.
With a three-year 36,000 mile new car warranty the, the Outback comes with five year 60,000 mile drivetrain coverage and a three-year 36,000 mile roadside support plan.
According to True Car Inc prices will vary depending with the model from $ 23,195 to as high as $31,495. Compared with the 2010 models this is a little higher by $200.
The advantage of purchasing the Subaru outback 2011 is that it has an adequate cargo capacity, roomy interior, outstanding outward visibility, perfect crash scores, comfortable ride, easy to use controls on lower versions, creditable off-road ability for a wagon, and it meets most of what you would want for a car. On the other hand, the steering is a bit hard and lacks agility for a Subaru.
So no matter what terrain or road surface you are driving on, the Subaru Outback 2011 will make it a comfortable and memorable journey for you and your family.
