With eye-catching driving dynamics and top class styling, the 2011Nissan Murano is a medium sized SUV that exceeds the standard abilities of a crossover car. With a witty manufacturing and sporty suspension, the 2011 Murano offers what most shoppers would want to enjoy in a driving experience. The 2011 Murano comes with some new changes such as real time traffic, Bluetooth streaming audio, and a navigation system. For the previous models, the optional packages have been incorporated into the 2011 Murano trim levels. However, the buyer should take into consideration the poor rear visibility and reduced cargo capacity before arriving to a final purchasing decision.
The 2011 five passenger Nissan Murano comes in four trim levels: S, SV, SL and LE trim levels. All trim levels have a standard front-wheel drive while the AWD is an option. Standard features in the 2011 S model include eighteen-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, dual-zone climate control(automatic), keyless ignition, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, adjustable driver’s seat, six CD/MP3 changer, six speaker audio system, auxiliary audio jack and a cloth upholstery. In addition to the features in the S model, the SV version is equipped with foglights, automatic headlights, panoramic sunroof, sunroof, rearview camera, seven-inch color screen, power front seats, Bluetooth connectivity, iPod integration, satellite radio and steering wheel with acoustic controls.
The SL trim level adds a driver seat memory, automatic wipers, a power liftgate, leather upholstery, 9-speaker Bose sound system heated outside mirrors, heated steering wheel, heated front seats. The LE model steps up from the SL trim adding a wood interior trim, xenon headlights, twenty-inch wheels, power tilt/telescoping steering wheel and heated rear seats.
Optional packages in the SL and LE editions include a navigation system, real-time traffic, voice recognition, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Nissan Murano 2011 comes equipped with a 260 horsepower 3.5 liter V6 engine that can generate up to 240 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired to a continuous variable transmission. According to EPA fuel efficiency is estimated at 18 miles per gallon within the city, 23 miles per gallon on the highway and combined fuel efficiency of 20 miles per gallon. The 2011 Murano’s interior has high quality material design and sliding back seats that provide enough legroom for the second row passengers. Cargo capacity provided with all seats in use is estimated at 31.6 cubic feet and with the rear seats folded down this figure increases to 64 cubic feet.
Standard safety features for Nissan Murano 2011include stability and traction control, airbags (front side and side curtain airbags), front head restraints and antilock disc brakes.
The 2011 Murano has not yet undergone the strenuous government crash tests but its predecessor received four stars for driver and front passenger crash test and five stars for the side impact protection.
The average price for 2011 Nissan Murano ranges between $28,579 and $44, 231. Warranty details for the 2011 Murano have not yet been released, but it’s expected to come with the 2010 model three year basic warranty and five year powertrain warranty.
