Acura TSX is best known for its looks and performance and the new version is trying regain its competence with other cars based on the 5-6 cylinder engines. TSX comes with a 4 cylinder engine to basically used for most of the down hill driving and increasing the revving per minute (RPM). The engineering in small engine is different and competent on the hills with a standard 201 HP 2.4 L engine and up gradation would add up another 80 HP to the existing model.
Acura TSX comes on a starting price of $30,000 which is not the case with other cars made from Acura .
The transmission is available in both 5 speed automatic and a 6 speed manual in the TSX with a 2.4L I-4 and 3.5L V6 engine. The Acura TSX comes in Sedan, wagon body style.
The TSX comes with the new automatic shift which improves the performance and feel. The fuel efficiency gets boosted with this new technology. The new version has a better style both in front and rear with front grille and rear tail lights.
The features of exterior and interior
The exterior look in the new version i.e V6 model has better looking dashboard and trunk badge. The interiors have an automatic control on the noise so you can hardly make out the sound through a Active-noise-cancellation. Besides this it has a Blue tooth connectivity so you can play your songs through your audio. The other features are quite common like power seats, moon roof, auto-climate-control and automatic headlights.
Performance and handling
TS1 has the empyreal driving dynamics which is liked in most of the Acura TSX with the light weight four cylinders with trim proportion and 6-speed manual. The only problem is the wiling V-6 increases the weight to about 280 pounds especially from I-4 to V6 automatic and this is clubbed with shifting paddles.
Safety
For safety purpose Acura provides in this model air bags for driver, front passenger dual stage front and side curtain air bags. Additionally it comes with active head bounds. Rest ABS and stability controls are common standard features like other cars.
EPA Fuel efficiency
TSX 4 cylinder with 6 MT gives a fuel efficiency of 20mpg and 28 mpg for city and highway respectively.
TSX 4 cylinder with 5AT gives a fuel efficiency of 21 mpg and 30 mpg for city and highway respectively
TSX V6 with 5 AT gives a fuel efficiency of 18 mpg and 27 mpg for city and highway respectively
The key highlights of TSX are its fine shifting manual, high quality interior and trim dimension. The customers give a sour thumb to TSX on the V-6 Torque steer and the also the other V-6 is only available with automatic transmission not the manual option.
