2011 Acura RDX Tech Review

There are certain cars which look sophisticate and classy but internally they have the most powerful engines. Acura RDX is just the one which fits in that category. Its very compact and classy yet has a very powerful turbo charged engine which has highly performance driven and efficient.
Lets look at the facts on data about the performance of Acura RDX, turbocharged 4 cylinder engine has 2.3 litre DOHC mill on Acura i-VTEC variable valve timing technology which produces 240 hp @ 6000 rpm and 260 pound feet of torque @ 4500 rpm.
This entire power flow is managed by 5 speed automatic transmission with steering wheel and elevated shift paddles and Grade Logic control. The moment engine gets the ignition it unleashes its real power but it doesn’t make any noise compared to the power the RDX has.
Most of all RDX comes with added traction of AWD and it most preferred. However the front wheel drive (FWD) is also available in US. With AWD option is always best for cars since it makes the car more powerful and moves smoothly in all surfaces and in hills as well in spite if it comes with a extra cost.
Mostly powerful engines do not have great mileage. So the fuel efficiency in city would be about 11.7 L/100 km and it gives 8.7L/100 km on the highway. Overall the mileage efficiency is at 12.8L/100km in both highway and city driving.
Most of the mid size cars are transitioning into six to seven speed automatic transmissions for this purpose however RDX possibly could improve its efficiency by adding additional sprockets which basically adds teeth to the rim of the gear wheel. However without this option RDX autobox shift still manages to work well in heavy traffic and while taking turns in the curve.
One of the most important strength of RDX is the way it can guttle the curves especially with its high ground clearance. In this case SH AVD really comes handy and brings out the very rally champion feature.
Overall for a preference of interchange feature in mid size and compact I would recommend RDX with its looks, performance and luxury compared to any other midsize cars. RDX deal also comes with additional exciting freebies. A rearview camera, a premium sound system, navigation with a voice recognition, something we have seen in movies and a off-road tracking mechanism. All this Acura technology package bundled this car cost somewhere near $43000.
