2010 Volkswagen Golf 2-Door

We have so many big cars in our garage that getting into a small car like Golf 2-door never struck me until last night when I accidentally got into its driving seat. Once I got into the driving seat the thoughts that came to my mind were that this car is simply slender, sleek, silky, solid and smooth. Starting from the clutch, to the easily operational stick shift gears, to a very smooth steering all seemed perfect to me. The inside of the car is very exemplary as well. Despite of the fact that the car is a two door one, there still is enough space in the back seat.
The equipment in the car that are impressive are – an amazing radio, an impressive A/C, all make me compare the golf to Nissan Versa hatch that is a four door car but higher in terms of the cost. The only thing that I need to replace in the Golf is its plastic wheel covers with the aluminum ones.
The interiors of the Golf have a very German feel to it. This I can easily feel as I’d recently spent a week in Germany. Germans create interiors at a reasonable price that are at par with the interiors of big cars. So, I would say that one can never get nicer interiors in a base car than what Golf has to offer.
From the test drive I took yesterday night all I can say is that the Golf is by far the best small car in the market so far. After test driving the Golf I got onto the driver’s seat of the Mazda 3 hatchback, it was then that I realized how superior the Golf is and that too at a reasonable price.
After driving the Golf along with the turbocharged GTI I am sure that I’ll never pay $4000 extra for additional hike. The Golf in the fifth gear is very smooth and gives a comfortable drive. Undoubtedly its steering is bigger than GTI’s but then its interiors are so plush that one never feels they are budget or low cost. Infact they are comparable to the high end cars at any time.
A little extra noise from the B-pillar is the one complaint one can have with Golf. All I would say is that it has an amazing gearbox, comfy seats, lovely steering and a solid engine and all of it is lesser priced from GTI by $6000. Undoubtedly, the Golf looks low rate with its plain plastic wheel covers but when these are changed with the aluminum ones then it can be compared to a GTI or a TDI easily. So, all I would say is that it’s the best small car in the market.
