Mahindra is one of the best when it comes to car manufacturing and now they are going to be launching their new Mini-Xylo; the new Mini-Xylo is going to be launched soon enough in mid 2011 and is expected to be one of the best cars to be coming on the market this year. However only a few years ago, in 2009, there was the first Xylo released which was very popular across the world and now Mahindra is planning on bringing out the second and improved version of the Xylo with the Mini-Xylo.
The Mini-Xylo is expected to be bigger than planned in fact because this is small but really packs a huge punch on the India car market with being not even four metres long; that is some achievement for any car and with this length being that much impressive than before it really is going to be a car that takes the market by a force. The Mini-Xylo is going to have a fantastic 1.5 litre diesel engine which is currently been tested out before its big launch later this year but it is expected to pass all expectations and hit its release date.
The price has not been confirmed yet but it is possibly going to be in the region of four hundred thousand to five hundred thousand; with the body work on the car going to be similar to the previous Xylo’s design. Of course there is a lot of speculation over what is going to come with the Mini-Xylo but it is expected to have a 1.5 litre engine; the diesel has been confirmed but not the power of this however.
There will be the expected three cylinders but there will not be supercharged or turbocharged engine cylinders however; the Mini-Xylo is going to be a manual transmission with power steering. The car is expected to be midsized and will be able to seat five people with five doors for easy access.
The Mini-Xylo is going to have power windows front and rear as well as having a good automatic climate control and air quality control; for any space in the boot there is remote trunk opener that can be used and there will be a warning light over low fuel also. The Mini-Xylo will also have a vanity mirror installed so that the driver or passenger can check that they are looking great as well as having a good rear seat head rest and a central arm rest for the rear seats also. The seats can be adjusted as well as the height of the front seat belts; they can be adjusted to suit the height of the driver; and there are even a few cup holders in both the back and front of the car.
There is even the option of having heated seats in both the back and front of the car so on the cold winter mornings, all that needs to be done is to switch on the seat heaters. The Xylo also comes with the features of sensors over parking and has cruise control also; the interior is going to have full air conditioner built into the car as well as a heater.
The steering column is adjustable for comfort and the comfort is extended with leather seats with fabric upholstery and a leather steering wheel also. This has the basics of course still with a good sized glove compartment, a cigarette lighter and a digital clock built into the car also.
The Mini-Xylo also will come with fog lights from front and back and having rain sensor wipers. It will come with DVD, CD and cassette players as well as a CD changer with AM and FM radio also with speakers at the front of the car as well as the rear of the car also.
The car comes with a good break assist with anti locking braking system as well as having an anti-theft alarm and for safety will have side air bags for both the front driver and passenger and the back seat passengers also. There is central locking with child safety locks also in the Mini-Xylo so the car is perfect for any family no matter what age or size of the family.
The colours of the cars are still unexpected at the moment, the thought that these colours will vary as Mahindra want to experiment with them trying to give the car a fantastic new look. It is expected to have alloy wheels as these will be a big part of the car – Mahindra is trying to put the best features into the car so that when the price is released with the car that the potential customers sees only the good features and not focus on the price.
The Mahindra Mini-Xylo is sturdy making this one of the popular cars in the Indian market; this is really an mini SUV however this is still going through the test stages of the manufacturing process but it is expected to do very well on the market.
