2010 Toyota-FJ-Cruiser

By Zaheer on May 27, 2011 with Comments 0

Those about to buy an SUV would be well advised to have a look at various reviews available online about their particular choice of vehicle.  These reviews are written by experts who have practical knowledge about cars and know about the best features available in any vehicle.

What you would instantly like about the 2010 Toyota-FJ-Cruiser is its exterior which has a retro look, its stylish but simple look on the interior, the way it handles quite well when it hits the road and its uncompromising ability when it is off the road.  A few things you just may dislike would be that it lacks while passing power, it is rather noisy on the highway, its rear seats are a little difficult to access and the fact that it has a little less visibility, and this is particularly true when parking the vehicle.  It must be mentioned that the Cruiser requires premium fuel.

There are the serious kind of off roaders, who have a limited choice when it comes to style and fashion in an SUV.  It is only the 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser which has the unique offering of rugged yet retro style chic, besides very good off roading abilities.  All this comes in a very practical and coherent package, and this is hard to come by in any affordable sports utility vehicle.

The Toyota FJ Cruiser looks rather similar to a vintage FJ40 of the 1960’s, combined with modern amenities.  The styling is retro and contemporary at the same time and this speaks well of the vehicle design.  Rear small half doors help you get to the back.  The insides are rather simple and the chunky dashboard features round and traditional gauges.

The 4 l aluminium block V6 of yesteryears continues, and has a variable valve timing.  The engine has a capacity of 239 hp and 278 pound feet torque.  There is a choice of 5 speed automatic transmission and 6 speed transmission in manual mode.  The FJ Cruiser has 4 wheel drive which combines traditional mechanism with modern electronics to gain and maintain traction.  A-Trac helps to reduce the wheel spin to re-distribute the torque, and this helps out when on the road.  But the Toyota FJ Cruiser takes pride in shining off road, it has a shortened wheel-base and clears more ground.  To add to this, skid plates play a part in protecting the under body.  All components are safely put in frame rails.  This vehicle has suspension tuning, which gets really good wheel articulation in the absence of too much on road sacrifice.  The FJ Cruiser from Toyota can easily clear up to 27.5” of water.  It’s departure and approach angles continue to be good compared to any other vehicle.  There are just too many reasons why you might want to buy a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser.
