Before you set out to buy your car, you would do well to do some research about the company and the model that you wish to choose. There are scores of online reviews and sites which tell you all about cars and the latest features that they offer.
To start with, what most people seem to like about the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander is the superior styling on the new front-end, the strong and smooth performance of the V 6 model, the feeling of a sport sedan when you are seated in a GT, and the simply super handling and steering of the car. Some dislikes, if I must mention them, would be the road noise that can be heard inside, the loud and slow 4 cylinder, the unnecessary addition of a third row seating and the fact that the steering wheel fails to telescope.
The 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact crossover veicle and has all the next generation features in technology. Just a few subtle changes on the Outlander have made it look more like a car than a SUV on the outside. It has a snout rather like a shark, a ‘jet fighter’ down from the Evo. Aero work has been done on the front of the Outlander, a mesh grille has been added, there is a rear fascia, the hood and fenders bear a new design and the side sills are chrome accented. A welcome addition is the soft touch interior, which has been done up with double stitched leather padding for the elbows and the dashboard. The dials and vents are brighter, and an LCD display adorns all models except the base one. The vehicle looks really good outside and feels wonderful inside.
The engine is a standard 2.4 l 4 cylinder one, with 168 hp. The engine just barely performs and makes a lot of noise when accelerating. The 3.0 l V6 engine on the XLS and GT model Outlander are totally different, they produce 220 hp via a simple shift 6 speed automatic plus steering wheel paddles. This engine is more fuel economical on the highway. The SE, ES and XLS Outlander models offer a choice of four wheel drive with a centre diff lock or front wheel drive. The new GT offers a super all wheel control or S-AWC system and it includes Snow, Tarmac and Lock modes which can all be selected with the help of a know on the center console and caters to the system response in specific conditions. It has a front active differential along with a center differential which can be controlled electronically. Torque is seamlessly distributed between wheels. The 4 cylinder SUVs are popular, mainly with thanks to their pricing.
