Having the looks and the power that makes it ideal for great daily driving, the 2010 Infiniti EX35 presents itself with minimal changes. It is a relatively small crossover SUV that has enough sport and spunk to get buyers’ attention. It comes in four (4) models namely the EX35, EX35 AWD, EX35 Journey, and the EX35 Journey AWD.
The 2010 Infiniti EX35 basically combines the designs of a coupe and a sport utility vehicle. Its proportions are definitely sporty as shown by its long hood and short overhangs plus a roofline that arches over the windows like the coupe. It comes with the Infiniti double-arch front grille, Infiniti L-shaped headlights, chrome finishes dual exhaust tips, rear hatch with integrated spoiler, and standard power sliding tinted glass moonroof with tilt feature. There are at least seven exterior colors to choose from: Moonlight White, Dark Currant, Black Obsidian, Scarlet Silver, Blue Slate, Platinum Graphite, and Liquid Platinum
Powered by a 4th generation VQ35 HR 3.5L V6 engine, drivers are treated to a horsepower of 297 hp and torque of 253 lb-ft. It is equipped with standard 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, DS mode, Downshift Rev Matching, and Adaptive Shift Control. Wheel choices include the 17-inch 7-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels with P225/6DR17 V-rated tires and the 18-inch 8-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with P225/55R18 V-rated tires.
Recent revisions in the EX35 include the heated front seats (for EX35 AWD), heated outside mirrors (on EX35), Bluetooth (on EX Journey), USB Connection port (all models), standard auto on/off headlamps (all models), and navigation as a stand alone option. The interior is very driver-oriented with available memory system and position synchronization for the driver’s seat, outside mirror and steering wheel. Aside from the 2-way power lumbar support, the driver’s seat can be adjusted 8-ways. The front passenger seat is 4-way power-adjustable. Easily providing the luxurious feel is the premium leather-appointed seating and the leather-wrapped steering wheel equipped with controls for audio and cruise control.
Other notable interior features include the 7-inch color display with Infiniti controller, Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, Around View Monitor (AVM) to help reduce blind spots when parking, satellite radio, electroluminescent gauges with a center display, and voice-recognition for audio and navigation. Safety and security features are provided through the Advanced Airbag System, front-seat-mounted side-impact supplemental airbag, roof-mounted curtain side impact airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, remote keyless entry, vehicle dynamic control, and traction control.
The 2010 Infiniti EX35 is offered at a base price of $ 33,800.00. Its closest competitors include the Audi Q5, Mercedes GLK, and the Cadillac SRX. It faces competition with a downside of lacking the practicability expected from an SUV.
