Often compared with the Infiniti EX35, due to glaring similarities in the numbers perspective, the 2010 Audi Q5 3.2 Quattro Tiptronic comes across as a comfortable and capable crossover. It is a 5-door, crossover SUV constructed from steel unibody combined with aluminum and magnesium. It comfortably seats five (5) passengers and can provide decent cargo function when you need to transport some personal effects.
The Audi Q5 comes in standard equipment including the Quattro All-Wheel Drive, 6-speed automatic with Tiptronic, ESO/ABS, 18” aluminum wheels with 235/60R18 all-season tires, roof trails with crossbars, trailer hitch pre-wiring, and TPMS sensor. For an additional $ 4,050.00 to the base price of $ 38,175.00, you get to enjoy the Premium Plus option which provides for Xenon headlights with LED dris, Panorama sunroof, power tailgate, heated front seats, Bluetooth, Homelink garage door opener, driver side memory, auto dimming and power folding mirrors, auto dimming interior mirror with compass, Audi music interface with iPod cable, and stainless door sills and trunk edge. The Audi MMI Navigation Plus Package still offers other options which include HDD Navigation with Voice Control, Audi Parking System with advanced rearview camera, color driver information system, and single CD/DVD player.
Now I’m not about to tell you which of these options you should be bringing in to your car. Some options make more sense than the others, depending on what look and feel you want to achieve. Powered by the DOHC V-6 engine with FSI direct injection, you get 270 hp at 6500 rpm and torque of 243 lb-ft at 3000 rpm.
The 2010 Audi Q5 3.2 manages to score high, courtesy of its sleek lines, more than adequate cabin, ample engine power, and high quality feel but fares not as well in its steering capacity, and a drive select that can benefit from more simplicity. Its price is also one of the highest in its class. As the first compact luxury crossover by Audi, it comes face-to-face with the likes of the BMW X3, Mercedes Benz GLK, and the Lexus RX350 and RX 450 crossover.
There appears to be no cause for concern in terms of safety standards not only because of its standard safety features but also because of its remarkable ratings in industry-instituted tests, even managing to be named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Not a few have used the words handsome, pretty, and cute to describe the 2010 Audi Q5 3.2. These are just other words to say that the Q5 looks good. Its style, luxury and power lies in its excellent execution, inside and out. The Total Cost to Own or the estimate cost of owning the Audi Q5 over the next five (5) years is placed at $ 55,134.00. This would include projected costs for depreciation, financing, insurance, maintenance, repair, opportunity and fees and taxes. That should provide you a preview of what to expect cost-wise.
