The Toyota Avalon

The Toyota Avalon was supposed to be Toyota’s latest model but after the test run there was nothing really special about it. It may appear like a bigger car but it lacks the extra something special that most expect from a new release from Toyota.
The Toyota Avalon was positioned as the Japanese salvo against the Buick but it seems that it fell short on that front. It fails to inspire anything other than a casual glance. The performance is so-so and uninspiring although it is powered by a good quality engine it is not exactly as you would expect it.
I don’t like the interior design as much I’d like to but then again I am not its intended audience. The chairs look like the ones you would see inside a dentist’s office. The buttons are a bit out of place or one too many. There is a temperature control button near the steering wheel and there is another one just a finger’s length away. I don’t get why there should be too many buttons for the same commands. That’s just me nit picking but ultimately that would be your decision if you want this car or not.
The Avalon is just like a Toyota Camry but just much bigger. The engine has enough power to get through tough terrain and uneven roads. It has enough power to go full throttle. It has good maneuverability for a big lumbering ox.
The Avalon is your perfect practical utility vehicle. It gives you everything you need but if you know a little extra about cars you would see right through its big demeanor and reveal all of its shortcomings. But overall the car has enough space, comfort, and good performance for the everyday user to be satisfied.
The Avalon has 3.5L DOHC 24-valve V-6 engine that gives it a horsepower of 268 hp at 6,200 rpm
and a torque of 248 lb-ft at 4,700 rpm. The engine is enough to get you through most terrains and powers through corners and curves. It also gives good performance on long drives. The car is also a four wheel drive with a six speed automatic transmission which gives you adequate steering and handling on any road.
Overall the Toyota Avalon does not give you anything spectacular if you are looking for a utility vehicle for family trips or long excursions with friends. But for the hardcore car enthusiast this car will leave in want.
