The Right Car for You

Owning a car has been tough in these difficult economic times. The rising gas prices and rising prices of everything under the sun have made it difficult to purchase a car. Car sales have dipped to record lows and there seems to be no way out. But there is. Owning your dream car is still possible. You just have to want it hard enough.
To own your dream car you must make wise decisions and know what you are looking for. Are you the type to want to break out of your day grind and race the time away in a sexy sports car or are you the type to just want the thrill of a fast car? These are traits that you should look for once you start looking for your dream car.
Understand your own needs and the availability of the model you are looking for.
For the inner speed demon in you we will show you two high standard cars that you can take to a Sunday race day with your buddies.
First on the track is:
The Honda Civic SI
Profile: With age comes wisdom. This baby maybe old but it can still race with the best of them.
It is tagged between $22,955-$24,805 with a 2.0L I-4 engine that throttles to 197 hp and 139 lb-ft of torque. It has a 6 speed manual transmission combined with a front wheel drive mechanism.
Up next is:
The Volkswagen GTI
Profile: Luxury at its finest but beware its high powered engine can go head-to-head with any German sports car.
It has a price tag between $23,990-$27,255 with a 2.0L turbo I-4 engine that rocks a horsepower of 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. It has a 6 speed manual transmission with a front wheel drive mechanism.
Now that you have seen both cars on the race track it is time for judgment.
Both cars are in the same price range but the Volkswagen is a little bit more expensive than the Honda Civic. Price is not the only battle here though. The Volkswagen has a better performance engine than the Civic but once you get on the road you will feel the difference.
The difference lies in handling, steering and maneuvering. Both perform well on any road and the difference is only seen by the preference of drivers.
It is up to you to decide which car is suited for you based on your needs and/or wants.
