Review of the Mercury Milan Hybrid

By Zaheer on Apr 28, 2011 with Comments 0

The Mercury Milan Hybrid is a $33,000 sedan. But before you step out of the showroom and consider buying something else think of the many benefits that a hybrid has to offer. Hybrids are all the rage in today’s market. Hybrids offer fuel efficiency, a powerful engine, a nice clean look inside and out, and a stylish appeal packaged in a eco-friendly vehicle. And the Mercury Milan Hybrid is worth every dollar that you pay for.

The Milan Hybrid can drive in a highway or any public road for that matter at a 40 mph speed powered only by its battery. Amazing isn’t it? The battery power can save you money for fuel. It is also less harmful to the environment.

The Milan hybrid suffers from typical problems that most hybrids face. The steering provides an electric feel that is distracting and the brake pedal feels uncomfortable. In the Milan Hybrid’s defense the drive is adequate and comfortable.

The Mercury Milan provides an expensive feel that you would not expect from a four cylinder engine hybrid. The engine is virtually silent and the cruise down the highway is silky smooth. The handles fair well while maneuvering through corners and turning on curves. The interior design gives off a futuristic vibe and stylish appeal.

The Milan is also more efficient than its predecessors. It provides good fuel economy and the battery power is a huge plus when you are gas conservative. There is a glaring similarity between the Mercury Milan and Ford Fusion. They have similar traits and features. But the Mercury is a more solid choice over the Ford Fusion because it rides smoother and more efficient.

The choice between the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan Hybrid is much harder because of the options you have on both cars. The Ford offers a new navigation system and climate control interface. There is a $2,000 difference between the two but the Mercury Milan is in the lead but maybe by just a hair.

Both offer a beautifully crafted interior and exterior design that can rock anyone’s world. The engine of both cars is good and powerful for the hybrid car segment. There is very little differentiation between the two aside from a few kinks here and there. The options for both cars are excellent if you are willing to pay for them. It all boils down to personal preference if you like what the Ford or Mercury has done for you in the past you will be loyal to the brand that has been good to you.
