A Review of the Jeep Compass Limited 4×4

The Jeep Compass does not bring anything new to the compact car market. The Compass is slightly taller, offers a four wheel drive, and provides a navigation system but it lacks practicality. The Compass is an eye sore and is of poor design and is outrageously sold for $30,130.
In defense of the Compass it drives reasonably well but it still leaves a lot to be desired. Humongous A-pillars block your view and add to the unappealing size of the vehicle. The center console intrudes with the spacing of the cabin and big cup holders obstruct your feet while sitting. The middle section of the rear seats is virtually unusable save for a midget or a small child.
The transmission falls well below the standard that Nissan has established for the segment because of its unpredictable performance and a clunk noise that distracts. A mast antenna was also put on the front which is an eye sore for passengers and drivers alike.
You have better things to do and better cars to buy with $30,000. With that price tag you can buy a Subaru Impreza, Audi A3, Forester or an Outback. The Compass (as ironic as it sounds) points Jeep in the wrong direction.
The many flaws that the Compass has will make you wonder if anyone would be willing to shell out $30,000.
The 2010 Compass has refurbished the vehicle’s interior the cabin is respectable but far from market leading, it still has one too many hard plastic components, but their quality has improved from their predecessors.
The Compass fairs poorly with other models in the same category. The interior and exterior design is poorly done and lacks the feel of a car that is pegged at $30,000. The Chevrolet Equinox and Hyundai Tucson offer the same things but has better value per dollar.
The car has better value if you can get it at a bargain price that is way lower than its $30,000 asking price.
It would take a massive overhaul to get the Compass on its feet. A few suggestions would better components, improve the insulation, and adjust the automatic transmission to a more user-friendly set-up.
You have better things to do with your $30,000. There are other models out there that are worth your time and money. The Compass is an expensive item that gives you very little return on investment.
Don’t take the Compass you’ll just get lost.
