Things You’ll Need:
- Floor Jack
- Socket and Ratchet Set
- Jack Stand Set
- 3/8 in. Drive Ratchet

Instructions:
- Park the car on a flat surface and set it on parking brake.
- Lift up the front of the vehicle with floor jack. Chock the rear wheels so that vehicle does not roll back.
- Also rest the vehicle on jack stands so that you can work safely under the vehicle.
- Locate the transmission mount and carefully examine it for any signs of wear and tear.
- Take a block of wood and a floor jack to prop the transmission. Make sure that you don’t raise the transmission.
- First unfasten the nuts holding the cross member to transmission mount.
- Now, take the cross member out of the vehicle by unfastening the bolts holding the cross member to the frame.
- Take the transmission mount out from the vehicle.
- Take a new transmission and position it carefully.
- First connect the cross member to the new transmission mount. Then connect the transmission to the frame.
- Take the floor jack and a wood block away.
- Remove the jack stands and floor jack from down the front of the vehicle.
- Take a small drive and examine carefully that there is no noise and vibration in the transmission mount.
