The following guide will teach you How to Replace a Front Bumper. Follow the instructions below.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Bumper
  • Bumper Mounting Kit
  • Floor Jack
  • Socket and Ratchet Set
  • 3/8 in. Drive Shallow Standard Socket Set
  • 1/2 in. Drive Ratchet
  • 3/8 in. Drive Torque Wrench

  • Shop Costs: Est. $719.35 parts and labor

Removing Bumper How to Replace a Front Bumper

Instructions

  • Locate the damaged areas of the front bumper.
  • Disconnect the wires of Signals and Fog lamps to turn them off in case they are attached to the front bumper.
  • Support the front bumper with floor jack and remove the mounting bracket bolts.
  • Put the bumper to the ground carefully.
  • Remove all components from the bumper i.e. turn signals, fog lights, a license plate and bumper trim
  • Fix all the removed components to the new bumper.
  • Install the new bumper and torque the mounting bolts according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Re-attach the wires of signals, fog lights (if applicable). Check the new bumper for proper alignment.
