2012 Toyota Prius V

Toyota has revealed its second production version of Toyota Prius family in the form of āVā at the Detroit Auto Show. āVā is the symbol of versatility as the Prius V unites the usability of a minivan with the hybrid drivetrain of a Prius hatchback model.
The design of the new Prius V is based on similar platform as that of previous version, but the company guarantees that the new Prius V is 50% more spacious than the previous version.
As the car is based on Prius hatchback model, it features the same exterior and interior design language. The exterior includes sharp-edged headlamps, improved aerodynamics, and an enlarged under grille, refined backdoor panel, entangled taillights, redesigned roof spoiler to enhance the air flow.
The interior features a high seating position, enough head space, an amazing 38-inch couple distance for ample rear legroom. The interior also features a new Entune multimedia system.
Under the hood, the engine remains the same that is, 1.8L Atkinson cycle petrol engine with an output of 98HP mated with an electric motor, which results in a total output of 134 HP. according to the company, the Prius V will convey an expected EPA fuel economy rating of 42 mpg in city, 38 mpg on highway and collectively 40 mpg.
