2013 Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe

In 2008, Mercedes planned to expand it market by offering a C-Class Coupe alternative for the young generation. For this reason the made the CLC who fails to show any significant success in the market. It would be more appropriate to say that its success was more lackluster than bedazzled. Mercedes is now decided to come up with it again, but this time with a lot more simple approach to meet the requirements of the young generation. This time they are going to come with C-Class Coupe and even there are reports that Mercedes is working on the AMG version as well. It is a good step from Mercedes as BMW M3 Coupe really needs a competitor.
The name given to this future model is C63 AMG Coupe. The exterior of the future C63 AMG Coupe will feature two prominent power domes on the bonnet, two louvers with chrome insert, and AMG radiator grille with a central star, an AMG sports exhaust system with two chrome twin tailpipes, An AMG rear apron with its black diffuser insert, and a front apron. Other features include the 18-inch light alloy wheels, sports suspensions, and a speed-sensitive AMG sports steering. The new Coupe will be lowered by around 40 millimeters.
The interior of the future AMG features the aluminum and carbon inserts, sports seats, and a performance steering wheel.
Under the hood of C63 AMG sedan is powered by a 6.2 liter V8 engine with an output of 457HP at 6,800 rpm and 442 lb-ft of torque. However, for the coupe version the statistics will be slight different.
The future Coupe will be powered by AMG’s 4.7 liter M273 V8 supercharged engine with an output of 400HP. the Car will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
Mercedes has planned to mate the engine with the AMG’s new SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission that can operate in three different modes, i.e. ‘S’ (Sport), ‘C’ (Comfort) and ‘M’ (Manual).
It is expected that the new version will debut in 2012 and will be available for sale in 2013.

WOW!!! I can’t wait for 2012 to see and drive one of these!! The power plant sounds awesome and the pic looks good. Sounds like Mercedes covers a lot of ground with this car. I have to think that it will compete very nicely with the BMW M3! What a ride!!! Good job boys!!
