There are reports that the Mercedes is going to bring another version of CLS-Class to the Los Angeles Show. A standard model of CLS hit Paris Show two months before and now we are going to have CLS AMG which is making its debut in Los Angeles Show.
A standard CLS model is offered in two versions, i.e. in a 204HP six cylinder engine and in a 408HP V8 engine. However, the new CLS AMG will be powered by 5.5 liter biturbo V8 engine with an output of 518HP and 516lb-ft of torque. The new version will also be supported by a Performance Package that will help increase the output to 550HP and a torque of 590lb-ft.
There are three other models which Mercedes is bringing with it and they include the new E-Class Cabriolet, the redesigned CL Coupe and R-Class Crossover.
This new CLS is considered as the first Coupe with four-door design. Certainly, it is the first four-door coupe that combines the appeal and design with the comfort and functionality of a four-door sedan.
It is expected that the new Mercedes CLS63 AMG will compete with the Jaguar XFR, Aston Martin Rapide and the Porsche Panamera Turbo.
According to Mercedes, the new CLS63 AMG will be available for sale in late 2011.
