The first 612 Scaglietti was appeared in 2004 when it was chosen as a successor for the smaller 456 M by Ferrari. To be very honest, 612 Scaglietti features the most out-dated design in the entire Ferrari lineup. The 612 Scaglietti was designed as a 4 seater gran tourer.
Now Ferrari is coming with another Scaglietti model that will make its debit in the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March next year. It will go on sale in the mid of 2011 with an expected price range of 300,000 euro.
According to the Ferrari, the new model will come with a lot of modifications with a major feature of a gasoline-hybrid technology.
The present 612 Scaglietti is equipped with a 5,748cc V12 engine with an output of 530HP and 588Nm torque. However, the new model will come up with a hybrid drive train. The new model will be powered by a V12 front engine with an output of 550HP with an electric motor at the rear, pretty much capable of generating additional 100 HP. The new system will help to improve the fuel consumption by 35%.
