McLaren MP4-12C GT3 coming in 2012; GT2 to follow in 2013

McLaren has almost finished with its first supercar, the MP$-12C. Besides, they are working on other two projects that will according to them excite the racing fans for sure. McLaren is actually preparing two racing versions of the MP4-12C that is, a GT2 and a GT3. According to McLaren, both the racing versions will make their official debut in 2012 with on 15 units of GT3 that are scheduled for production and even less number for GT2 but no exact numbers have yet been disclosed by the McLaren about the production of GT2.
In order to accomplish the task, McLaren mated up CRS Racing, a British firm known for its fair share of race victories. Both CRS Racing and McLaren have started working on their GT3 project at the McLaren Technology Center near London. Racecar transformation is scheduled to take place at the CRS’s workshops near the Donington Park circuit.
McLaren hopes that the GT3 version will compete in the 2012 race season whereas the GT2 would be prepared to take part in the 2013 24 Hours’ Le Mans event.
