In our efforts to find something really interesting extraordinary in the portfolio of supercars, we come across a vehicle, the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione. Although we have not got much to know about this vehicle but it really is a gorgeous looking road rocket.
We don’t have much information about this vehicle as it is not yet exist and the only pictures we have of this good looking Ferrari P4/5 are renderings. We are unable to get any information about the interior of this car but the exterior of this car is purely one of a racing car. This car features a massive silver rear spoiler for optimum downforce. Jim Glickenhaus is a creator of this car and he chooses its car model to base on the combination of the F430 underpinnings and F430 GT2’s drivetrain.
A square air intake with triangular headlights is featured on the front fascia. The mesh looking rear of the car is based on classic F40 with two massive exhaust outlets and huge rear diffuser. The exterior of Ferrari P4/5 also features air intakes on hood, doors and rear of the car, black glass cockpit, and aerodynamic kits.
This Ferrari features the suspension and V8 drivetrain of an F430 GT2 ALMS racing car. It is a custom built Ferrari F136 DOHC V8 engine at 90 degrees with 32-valve and 4-vlaves per cylinder. It generates 483HP and 343 lb-ft torque.
As we have said that the new Ferrari P4/5 based on F430 GT2, it uses the same suspension and motor setup with almost same braking system, i.e. Brembo steel discs with a diameter of 380x32mm in front and 332x32mm in the rear. Front brakes have 6 pistons while there are 4 pistons on rear calipers. These can be adjustable.
The present Ferrari is in competition with other 24 Hour vehicles such as those of Porsche, Audi and BMW. The team of Ferrari P4/5 hopes that the car will be available in the first quarter of 2011.
