It may not seem interesting to hear that Toyota is bringing a two-door Camry to this year SEMA Auto Show. But once you see the picture of this new two-door Camry NASCAR Edition, you will get a little surprised by its spunky looks.
The purpose behind building this Camry NASCAR Edition is to show Toyota Racing Development (TRD) the potential for the vehicle. RK Collection has certainly done a great job by managing almost impossible task by adding some custom features into it such as a custom body kit, TRD emblems, carbon fiber brake ducts with fog lights, a Toyota grill and new 20 inch TSW Jarama wheels.
The Camry NASCAR Edition is powered by TRD NASCAR V8 engine with a size of 358cubic inches. It generates 680HP at 8500 RPM. The engine of this car is paired to a Tremic T-56 Magnum six speed manual transmission, having Ram dual-disc street clutch.
For interior, custom leather-covered panels, a billet shifter, a dashboard with SPEK gauges by Proparts, a suede headliner with integrated rear tweeters and leather-covered power seats with custom TRD billet logos are chosen. A four point roll cage is also used. To improve the handling of the car, Camry modified Macpherson struts in the front and a Venza modified multi-link independent suspension in the rear has been used.
There are reports that after the SEMA Show, the Camry NASCAR Edition will head to the Phoenix International Raceway for the start of the NASCAR race weekend on November, 12.
