Unlike cars or other automobiles, motorcycles are more convenient in a way that you can continue to move forward in high jam pack traffics without any obstruction. You can move into the tight spots or you can run on the sidewalks without being stuck in the traffic.
Overview
You can use push start or compression start on all types of automotives. You have to get perfect settings before pushing your vehicle or motorbike. If you can’t push it or you don’t have any partner to push your bike, in that case downhill or inclined area can serve the purpose. It is not difficult but you have to keep few things in mind.
Instructions:
- Turn the switch of your bike on and let it remain on no matter if it starts or not.
- Clear all the gears and make sure that the gear is neutral; this will induce the bike for push start.
- Mostly engine has enough fuel to power the engine even if the fuel gauge shows empty tank.
- If you have any inclined area nearby push your bike to get there. Otherwise, ask your friend to push the bike for you. 10 mph is the enough speed to power the engine.
- Ride the bike and shift into the first gear. Pull the clutch lever back and ask your friend to push the bike. You have to release the clutch suddenly. If this is done rightly, engine will start instantly.
- Once the engine starts, keep holding the clutch and hit the gas.
- Shift to the neutral gear again and let the motor stabilize for sometime.
- Now you are ready to ride the bike, shift into the first gear and take your bike to the pump station or to the motorbike mechanic.
Always wear a helmet before doing push start. While doing push start often you get a sudden forward run that might cause you to get out of control and hit something. Push start seems easy, but there are certain things which you must keep in mind to ensure your safety.
