How to Pimp Your Ride

The enhancement of vehicle in terms of art or high performance is often termed as pimp your ride. This term become popular through a show produced by MTV named ‘Pimp Your Ride.’ The way Xzibit (Host) and his crew tricked out vehicles caused an excitement among majority of the people. In this article we will tell you how you can trick out or pimp your ride.

Performance Parts Replace

Most of the time the focus of the customizers is on getting high performance, instead of focusing on tricked out exterior or interior modding. The most favored customization is engine swapping that means replacing the factory engine with the more powerful engine. Same displacement engine are mostly used in engine bay but customizers with great enthusiasm may strengthen the chassis or expand the area of the engine bay to put up the larger engine. Transmission replacements and renovating of the braking system is also very common.

 How to Pimp Your Ride

Exterior Mods

Following are given some of the exterior parts and components which are often customized:

  • Paint: Automobiles are often customized with matte, pearl high gloss metallic paints. Racing decals, candy-style paint schemes and airbrushing of two-tone paint and other artworks are also common on vehicle body.
  • Rims and Wheels: Vintage whitewalls for vintage vehicles and large mags and spinner rims are also very renowned ways.
  • Body Kits: However, factory made bumpers are good, but most admirers of pimp ride replace them. Body kits are mostly made of aluminum or steel, though, carbon fiber kits are getting fame these days.
  • Spoilers: However, spoilers are not meant to increase the aerodynamics or down force, as most of the drivers don’t drive fast, but yet they are used to make the ride tricked out.
  • Window Tint: In some states windows tint is not allowed, but where it is allowed, people use different paint schemes to tint their windows.

Pimping Mods

Customization is not limited to exterior and performance mods; there are many customizers who focus on the interior mods as well to pimp out their ride in a better way:

  • Racer-style das instruments, five-point seat-belt, racing seats, and custom lighting.
  • Game consoles, stereo systems, on-board computers, LCD TVs are common in car electronics mods.
  • There are certain outrageous mods like turntables, ping-pong tables, slot machines, aquariums, food stations, study areas, compartment for pets etc.
  • There are different types of upholstery used: Persian knotted carpet, leather or alcantara upholstery, shag.
