Peugeot 308 GTi Unveiled

Peugeot recently revealed the first details and pictures of their new GTi hot hatchback based on the four-door 308.
This new car stays loyal to the GTi philosophy, so it is light, responsive and clever and yet remains practical and comfi for daily use.
The engine used for powering the 308 GTi will be also used in the upcoming RCZ coupe, it is extremely advanced. This 1,600cc turbocharged power plant features THP or Twin Scroll Turbochargers. In addition, it also has direct petrol injection and variable valve lift and valve timing.
It has the capability of generating a torque of 200 bhp and 270 Nm which is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, it is quite efficient at only 6.9 liter per 100 km with 159 g/km of Co2 emissions.
The exterior and interior of GTi features front and rear spoilers, aluminium gear knob and foot rest, leather sport steering wheel, rear diffuser and twin chrome exhaust pipes and some GTi badges and more.
In addition, it also features more precise steering, tweaked suspension and 18-inch wheels for better grip and handling. There are also a number of electronic driving aids to help you get the best of the car. It includes dynamic stability control (CDS), ESP, ASR (traction control), emergency brake assist (EBA) and electronic brake force distribution (EBFD).
