Directions

    • Examine the dent and see if you can access it from behind. If you can then make use of rubber mallet or ball-peen hammer to hit it out. A wooden hammer can also be used if available.
    • If you are unable to access the dent from behind just follow this: take a marker and mark the center of the dent with it. Examine the dent carefully for any more contours. If you have to drill more hole and treat each of them separately.
    • Take a drill bit and drill a hole at the marked spot into the dent.
    • Take a self tapping screw or 1/2 inch dent removing screw assembly and screw it into the hole, which you have just made in the dent. Screw it until you think it would be enough to pop the dent out.
    • Take a locking vice grip and fix it to the self tapping screw. Before pulling the dent out, support your foot so that you will pull the dent with much force. Pull the locking vice grip up until the dent spurts out.
    • Once the dent is removed, examine it for rust, cracks and paint swirls. Take a grinder and sand this area with it.
    • Take putty (Bondo) and fill the holes you have made with the help of scraper or rubber spatula. Make it smooth by sanding it down.
    • In the end apply paint to the area and polish it to make it smoother.

Even a small dent appears like an ugly mark on body of the vehicle. It can be possible to remove the dent without spending too much on the repair shop. Just follow these instructions and the job would be done.
