Get Prepared
Take an old lawnmower and detach all the parts leaving it behind only with its chassis. Take a sandblaster and sandblast the remaining chassis part and remove all the dust and rust.
The Chassis
Use the metal to strengthen the chassis of the lawnmower. Use welder to weld the pieces of metal on required places. These metal pieces will help to support the chassis of lawnmower to remain stable and sturdy.
Installing the Back Axle
Once you are done with chassis portion, try to install the back axle now. It is best to seek the services of any engineering company to ensure the strong and quality back axle in your racing lawnmower.
Working on Other Parts
Make use of a drill, a saw and the jigsaw to cut the engine plate out. Once you are done with it, you have to get the other required parts like, steering and braking kits, wheels, engine and other replacement parts. To purchase these parts you must consult the classified ad section in local newspaper or you can get them online.
Fixing and Welding
The last process in building the racing lawnmower is to fix and weld all the part at their respective places. To start with steering set, weld it to the chassis. Fix all the parts step by step, do not make haste. Remember perfection is all about your safety. So carefully fix and weld all the parts. Fix the wheels, tires and back axle. Move on to the braking kit then work on pedals, i.e. clutch, accelerator and brake. Similarly fix the engine, the required belts and pulleys accordingly. In the end you will leave with steering wheel and a seat. Look for them in your junkyard, if you find any, otherwise get them from shop.
